D: SBO
C: nausea, vomiting, abdominal distention, dilated loops on radiography
N: follow by rating pain, recording T, abd exam, serum bicarb (acidemia), leukocyte count.
M:
R:
C:
T: NPO, nasogastric tube drainage, observation
Next Step Always: diagnostic, staging or therapeutic
Stage: I don't believe this is severe b/c he does not have fever, sepsis, intractable pain, leukocytosis or peritoneal signs.
