Screening Tests


Screening for depression is recommended for secondary prevention in pts w/ STEMI. REF

USPSTF - begin universal screening for osteoporosis at 65. REF

Screen and trea male partners of females with PID who have had contact in the past 60 days.

SCOFF - eating D/O.

CRAFFT - adolescent substance abuse.

USPTF - all adolescents between 12 and 18 should be screened for MDD.

A reduced haptoglobin level is useful to confirm hemolytic anemia. An elevated free erythrocyte protoporphyrin level may occur in lead poisoning or iron deficiency. REF

It is recommended that sexually active women under the age of 25 years be screened routinely for Chlamydia trachomatis. REF
